This site exists because I like playing with new tools, and I wasn't happy with my existing web site.
My professional side
My name is Amanda Nance, and I am a usability analyst in Atlanta, GA interested in conducting user research of all kinds to drive design recommendations for software and websites. I am also interested in making software accessible to users with disability (a.k.a. "compliance with Section 508" in the US).
In my spare time, I served on the board of directors of the Usability Professionals' Association as the Web Director from 2007-2009. More importantly, I'm a lifetime member of the Extremely Tall and Extremely Short HCI Researchers Club. =)

Personal stuff
Hobbies
I sing in a women's a cappella group called Atlanta Harmony Celebration, and I recently learned to knit.
I waste a lot of time on the internet. I'd like to spend more time with my friends, but we don't that close to one another (thank you, Atlanta sprawl). I enjoy art museums and the local botanical gardens, and I love to play games. Taboo is a favorite.
Pictures
I'm going to try embedding a flickr feed here. Wish me luck.
